At the end of the course, the student will be able to
1) Recognize various design philosophies of reinforced concrete structures and to use limit state concepts to design singly and doubly reinforced beams for various cross-sections
2) Use Limit state method to design of sections for torsion, bond and shear and detailing reinforcement
3) Use limit state method to distinguish and design one way and two-way slabs with different end conditions
4) Use Limit State Method to design axially loaded, uniaxial and biaxial bending columns using IS code provisions
5) Use Limit state method to classify footings and design of isolated, square, rectangular, circular, and combined footings.
